**Norris Secures Austrian Grand Prix Pole, Verstappen Starts Seventh**

Spielberg, Austria – Lando Norris secured a thrilling pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix, marking his third pole of the 2025 Formula 1 season. The McLaren driver edged out Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and his teammate, Oscar Piastri, in a nail-biting qualifying session at the Red Bull Ring.

Championship leader Piastri, who leads Norris by 22 points, will start third. Home-hero Max Verstappen had a disappointing qualifying, aborting his final lap in Q3, leaving him to start Sunday’s race from seventh position.

The race, scheduled to start at 14:00 BST (15:00 local time), is expected to be a scorcher, with temperatures reaching 31 degrees Celsius. Clear skies and a light breeze are forecast. The Red Bull Ring, a short and fast 4.318km circuit, offers ample overtaking opportunities with its three DRS zones.

Verstappen remains on high alert, with ten penalty points on his super license ahead of the race. Although a ban is looming with one more penalty point, two penalty points will expire after the Austrian Grand Prix.

The Austrian Grand Prix promises an action-packed race with Norris leading the charge, Leclerc and Piastri hot on his heels, and Verstappen aiming to fight his way through the pack.
