**Young Pacer Harshit Rana Released from Indian Test Squad; Kuldeep Yadav Expected to Join for Second Test**

**Leeds, England –** Young fast bowler Harshit Rana has been released from the Indian Test squad after serving as cover for the first Test against England. The decision comes after Rana’s unimpressive performance with India A against the England Lions. Concerns had been raised about his suitability for English conditions.

“Harshit Rana has been released from the squad. He hasn’t travelled with the Indian squad to Birmingham for the second Test starting July 4,” a BCCI source told PTI.

Meanwhile, calls are growing for the inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI for the second Test in Birmingham. Experts believe the dry conditions expected will favor spin bowling, making Yadav a valuable asset. Speculation is rife that he will replace Shardul Thakur, with some suggesting Prasidh Krishna could also make way.

“Kuldeep needs to be there. There is no point playing with four pacers. Either of Shardul or Prasidh can make way for him,” former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar told PTI.

The second Test match, scheduled to begin on July 4th in Birmingham, is eagerly anticipated as India seeks to level the series.
