**Tirumala Temple Streamlines Laddu Purchase with New Kiosks**

TIRUMALA, INDIA – June 24, 2025 – The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has launched a new initiative aimed at improving the pilgrim experience: self-service kiosks for purchasing additional laddu tokens. These kiosks are located at prasadam counters throughout Tirumala.

The user-friendly kiosks are designed to reduce waiting times and offer a cashless payment option. Pilgrims can easily navigate the system, choosing between purchasing laddus with or without a darshan (viewing) ticket. Those with darshan tickets can purchase up to two additional laddus per person based on the number of individuals on the ticket. Pilgrims without a darshan ticket can also purchase two laddus by providing their Aadhaar card details.

After making their selection, users are directed to a payment page where they can complete the transaction via UPI. A receipt is then generated, displaying the total cost of the purchase.

The initial rollout of the kiosks has been implemented at laddu counters managed by Union Bank and Canara Bank.

This initiative follows the successful implementation of similar kiosks for accepting small donations towards the temple’s free meals program, which provides food to approximately 150,000 pilgrims daily. The TTD continues to seek ways to enhance the pilgrim experience through technological advancements.
