Tue Jun 24 01:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Jewish Bombshell Elan Bibas Enters ‘Love Island’ Villa, Sparks Controversy

Miami, FL – “Love Island USA” is about to get a shakeup with the arrival of Elan Bibas, a Canadian-born Jewish influencer, at Casa Amor. Bibas, a former tech entrepreneur and wellness advocate, will be joining the popular reality dating show, bringing his charm, curls, and a touch of mystery to the villa.
Casa Amor, a notorious “Love Island” twist, sends the original contestants to a separate villa where they are introduced to new singles. This tests existing relationships and often leads to drama and recoupling decisions.
Bibas’ arrival has already sparked controversy, with some online users calling for a boycott of the show due to his connections to Israel. They falsely accused him of being a former Israeli Defense Forces soldier, despite evidence showing he went straight to college after high school.
Bibas’ Jewish background is central to his identity. His father is of Venezuelan Sephardic Jewish descent, and his family were members of Temple Har Zion in Toronto. He celebrated his bar mitzvah at the Western Wall in Jerusalem and visited Israel in 2022.
Prior to entering “Love Island,” Bibas co-founded a successful AI startup and currently works as a consultant. He also maintains a strong online presence, promoting wellness and fitness, particularly ultra-running, on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. He has over 14,000 TikTok followers and more than 3,600 Instagram followers.
Bibas joins a small group of openly Jewish contestants who have appeared on “Love Island.” This follows the previous cast members such as Josh Goldstein and Gabe Sadowsky from Season 3 of “Love Island USA,” and Eyal Booker from “Love Island UK.”
Will Bibas find love in Casa Amor, stir up drama, or simply provide memorable moments? Tune in to “Love Island” tonight at 9pm ET / 6pm PT on Peacock to find out.
