**U.S. Military Strikes Iranian Nuclear Facilities, Fordow Enrichment Plant “Gone,” Trump Declares**
**WASHINGTON D.C.** – In a surprise military operation Sunday, the United States Air Force targeted Iranian nuclear facilities, including the heavily fortified Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, using B-2 Spirit stealth bombers and GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs), also known as bunker busters.
According to President Donald Trump, the Fordow plant, considered the “crown jewel” of Iran’s nuclear program, has been destroyed in the attack. Three Iranian nuclear sites were struck.
The GBU-57 MOP, weighing approximately 14,000 kg, is designed to penetrate deep underground before detonating. It has a high-strength steel alloy casing capable of breaching reinforced rock and concrete, and carries a 2,400 kg explosive payload. Its GPS and inertial navigation systems allow for precise targeting, ensuring it can hit within meters of its target even in difficult conditions. Reports indicate six bunker buster bombs were used on Fordow.
The extent of the damage caused by the strikes is currently being assessed.
