**Andhra Pradesh Police Praised for Flawless Yoga Day Security in Visakhapatnam**
**Visakhapatnam, India – June 22, 2025** – Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta has lauded the Andhra Pradesh police force for their meticulous planning and execution of security measures during the International Yoga Day event held in Visakhapatnam on June 21st. The event, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, proceeded smoothly and without incident, thanks to the deployment of advanced technology and a significant police presence.
According to a press release issued by the DGP, approximately 3,000 CCTV cameras and drones were used to monitor the crowd. In addition to this technological surveillance, 10,000 police personnel from the Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP), civil police, and National Security Guard (NSG) were strategically deployed throughout the city.
