**Notorious Colombian Criminal “Boliche” Arrested in Miami on Federal Fraud Charges**
**MIAMI, FL – June 19, 2024** – Jorge Luis Hernández Villazón, known in criminal circles as “Boliche,” was apprehended in Miami on Wednesday, June 18th, on federal charges of electronic fraud. The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed the arrest and stated that Hernández Villazón is being held without bond due to concerns about potential flight risk.
Hernández Villazón’s arrest follows a federal investigation sparked by his extensive criminal history and recent alleged activities, according to journalist Jacobo Solano Cerchiaro.
“Boliche” has deep ties to organized crime in Colombia and Venezuela. He was a close associate of José “el Ñene” Hernández, a Colombian businessman and drug trafficker murdered in Brazil in 2019. Furthermore, “Boliche” is linked to Alex Saab who has been accused of laundering money for the government of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.
Notably, “Boliche” is also suspected of involvement in the death of César Cura, a drug trafficker from Córdoba, Colombia, who was an associate of Pablo Escobar. Reports suggest that Cura introduced Hernández Villazón to paramilitary groups, but was later killed by him in order to seize control of the business.
Hernández Villazón has a history of betraying his associates. According to reports, he has provided information leading to the arrests of numerous high-profile criminals, including Carlos Castaño, Salvatore Mancuso, and Rodrigo Tovar Pupo, a.k.a. Jorge 40. Allegedly, “Boliche” betrayed Nicolás Bergonzoli, another drug trafficker, stealing his cocaine and informing against him.
“Boliche” played a key role in exposing corruption within the DEA related to the Alex Saab case. He obtained a crucial recording revealing how DEA officials were leaking confidential information to Saab in exchange for bribes. This evidence led to the arrest of corrupt officials and disrupted the network protecting Saab.
According to a report by Semana Magazine, “Boliche” has been collaborating with the DEA and FBI for years.
