Sun Jun 22 02:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Medvedev Claims Nations Ready to Arm Iran Amidst Escalating Tensions Following US Strikes

**Moscow, Russia – June 22, 2025** – Former Russian President and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, issued a stunning statement today, alleging that several nations are prepared to provide Iran with nuclear weapons. This incendiary claim comes on the heels of US-led strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities – Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan – carried out overnight on June 21, 2025.

According to Medvedev, the US attacks, authorized by President Donald Trump, failed to cripple Iran’s nuclear program and have instead exacerbated tensions in the Middle East. He excoriated Trump, labeling him a warmonger who shattered his image as a peace president.

The US operation, reportedly utilizing B-2 Spirit stealth bombers and the USS Georgia (SSGN 729) submarine, involved a massive bombardment of the Iranian sites. Reports indicate that Fordow was struck by 12 GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs), designed to penetrate bunkers up to 60 meters deep. Natanz was targeted with two MOPs and 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles rained down on both Natanz and Isfahan.

While President Trump has declared the Iranian nuclear sites completely destroyed, Medvedev vehemently denies this. He outlined nine critical points demonstrating the ineffectiveness and potentially disastrous consequences of the US strikes.

Chief among Medvedev’s claims is that Iran’s uranium enrichment program remains largely intact. He further alleges that Iran possesses 83.7% enriched uranium at Fordow, dangerously close to the 90% needed for weapons-grade material, suggesting continued and future production of nuclear weapons.

However, the most alarming aspect of Medvedev’s statement is his assertion that “several countries” are willing to provide Iran with nuclear weapons directly. While he refrained from naming these nations, this claim poses a significant threat to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and raises the specter of a global nuclear arms race.

Retaliation from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has already commenced. Reports indicate a 20th wave of missile attacks against Israel, utilizing the Kheibar Shekan missile. Targets included Ben Gurion Airport and various military installations, triggering widespread panic in Israel. Cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa have experienced explosions, leading to school closures and mass evacuations to bomb shelters.

Medvedev argues that the US has now been drawn into a new and potentially protracted conflict, with the possibility of ground operations looming. He places the blame squarely on President Trump’s policies, which he claims have undermined global stability.

Furthermore, Medvedev asserts that the Iranian political regime has been strengthened by the attacks, garnering increased public support and solidifying the leadership of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He claims the attacks have ignited nationalistic fervor within Iran, even among those previously disaffected with the government.

Medvedev further claimed that much of the world disapproves of the actions taken by Israel and the United States.

The current crisis stems from escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, triggered by an Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus in 2024, followed by Iranian missile and drone strikes on Israel in April 2024. The situation spiraled into open conflict in June 2025 with Israel’s Operation Rising Lion targeting Iranian military and nuclear sites.

Medvedev concluded by dismissing Trump’s aspirations for a Nobel Peace Prize, stating that his policies have led the US into a new war and destabilized the world. The future remains uncertain as the world watches to see how the situation will evolve.
