**Trump Claims He Prevented India-Pakistan War, Laments Lack of Nobel Prize**

Washington D.C. – Former US President Donald Trump is once again claiming to have brokered peace between India and Pakistan, asserting that his intervention prevented a potential war. He expressed disappointment that he hasn’t received a Nobel Peace Prize for his alleged efforts.

“I won’t get a Nobel Prize for stopping the war between India and Pakistan,” Trump lamented on his social media platform, Truth Social, also citing his supposed peace-brokering efforts between Serbia and Kosovo, Egypt and Ethiopia, and the Abraham Accords.

However, India has repeatedly denied Trump’s claims of mediation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has maintained that a ceasefire between India and Pakistan was the result of direct military talks, with no US involvement.

The tensions between India and Pakistan were reportedly sparked by “Operation Sindoor”, launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. India has stated that the Pakistani Director General of Military Operations requested a conversation with his Indian counterpart, leading to an understanding to end the conflict after four days of cross-border exchanges.

Despite India’s denial, Trump continues to take credit, stating earlier this week, “I stopped the war between Pakistan and India. I got it stopped, they are both nuclear countries.”

Interestingly, Pakistan has decided to formally recommend Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, citing his “decisive diplomatic intervention” during the crisis. Trump recently hosted Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Asim Munir, for lunch at the White House.
