**Two Arrested in Mysuru for Vandalizing Ambedkar Banner, Sparking Unrest**

**MYSURU, June 20, 2025:** Police in Mysuru, Karnataka have arrested two men in connection with the tearing down of a banner honoring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Vajamangala village. The incident, which occurred on April 18th, sparked unrest in the community and prompted calls for a swift investigation.

The accused have been identified as Range Gowda, 39, of Kokkarehundi, and Vasanth Kumar, 26, of Thoranahalli village. The banner was displayed in front of the Ambedkar Community Hall in Vajamangala.

Following the incident, a case was registered at the Varuna police station, and a special team led by Mysuru district Superintendent of Police N. Vishnuvardhan was formed to investigate. The two men were arrested on Thursday and subsequently produced before the jurisdictional court. They have been remanded in judicial custody.
