**Ice Cube Talks BIG3, Supersonics Return, and 40th Anniversary Tour with KOMO News**

**(SEATTLE, WA.) — by Holly Menino, KOMO News Anchor** — Fresh off his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, entertainment mogul Ice Cube is showing no signs of slowing down. I recently sat down with the artist to discuss his diverse range of projects, from professional basketball to a landmark musical celebration.

The eighth season of his 3-on-3 basketball league, BIG3, tips off on June 14th, promising another summer of exciting competition. But Cube also shared his thoughts on a topic close to the hearts of many Seattleites: the potential return of the Supersonics.

“The fans want to see it happen, and we’re not even from Seattle,” Ice Cube emphasized. “It’s been a missing link in the league for so long. You need to put that piece back.” His strong support for NBA expansion and the return of the Sonics will undoubtedly resonate with fans in the Emerald City.

Beyond basketball, Ice Cube is gearing up to celebrate a monumental milestone: 40 years in the music industry. He’s embarking on his “Truth to Power” US tour, bringing a massive production to Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on September 19th.

“It’s time to celebrate those 40 years with a big production,” Ice Cube explained. “I’ve been to Seattle many times, but I haven’t been to Seattle with something like this. It’s going to be a great production. I haven’t done it like this since the Up in Smoke tour. I’m looking forward to doing a lot of songs that people usually don’t see.”

Seattle fans can look forward to a truly special concert experience, showcasing the breadth of Ice Cube’s iconic career.
