Sat Jun 14 11:00:00 UTC 2025: **King’s Birthday Marked with Trooping the Colour Parade in London**

**London, UK** – King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended the Trooping the Colour parade in central London on Saturday, an annual event celebrating the King’s official birthday. Thousands gathered along the Mall to witness the military spectacle, which included members of the Royal Family, a military parade, music, a gun salute, and an RAF flypast.

Despite King Charles’ actual birthday being in November, the Trooping the Colour tradition has long been held in June to ensure better weather conditions. This year’s parade featured over 1,350 soldiers and 300 musicians.

In a touching gesture, King Charles requested that members of the Royal Family participating in the parade wear black armbands to honor the victims of the recent Air India plane crash, where a minute of silence was held.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, were also in attendance, marking Princess Catherine’s first public appearance of 2024 after her cancer diagnosis, after which she confirmed she is in remission. Prince William participated in the military parade on horseback, wearing the uniform of the Welsh Guards.

This year’s event also featured an eco-friendly initiative, with the Red Arrows using a more environmentally friendly blend of fuel, including sustainable aviation fuel and a biofuel for their signature vapor trail, a move championed by King Charles.

The event, which commenced at Horse Guards Parade, proceeded along the Mall near Buckingham Palace, and included members of the Coldstream Guards. The event concluded with a flypast by the Red Arrows over Buckingham Palace, with the Royal Family watching from the balcony.
