Thu Jun 12 12:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Noah Wyle Takes Healthcare Worker Concerns to Capitol Hill

**Washington D.C.** – Actor Noah Wyle, best known for his role as a doctor on “The Pitt,” is taking on a new role: advocate for healthcare workers. Wyle, alongside FIGS, a healthcare apparel company, and a delegation of 18 healthcare professionals, is on Capitol Hill this week to urge lawmakers to address critical issues facing the industry.

Inspired by his mother, a retired nurse, and the stories of countless healthcare workers who have shared their experiences with him, Wyle is championing three key bipartisan concerns: lack of mental health support, overwhelming administrative burdens, and unfair financial strain.

“Without a supported, protected and fairly treated workforce, there is no patient care,” Wyle stated. He highlights the alarming rates of burnout and suicide among healthcare workers, pointing to the urgent need to reauthorize and fund the Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act, which expired in 2024. This act provides crucial mental health resources and support programs.

The delegation is also pushing for reforms to alleviate the crushing weight of administrative tasks. They cite the excessive time spent on prior authorizations, which delays patient care and contributes to physician burnout. One ambassador, a primary care provider, spends nearly half their day on insurance denials and paperwork.

Finally, Wyle and FIGS are advocating for fair compensation. They are supporting the “Awesome Humans Act,” a proposed federal tax credit designed to provide financial relief to frontline healthcare workers struggling to make ends meet.

Wyle, emphasizing the non-partisan nature of these issues, concluded with a call to action: “To anyone who’s ever benefited from the knowledge, care and courage of a health care professional, now’s the time to show up for them and take action.”
