Govindaraju has been booked after Renuka, a fellow officer, filed a complaint accusing him of assault and outraging the modesty of a woman.

According to the complaint, the incident took place late on June 10th at a bus stand where Renuka was assisting two minor girls who had run away from home. Govindaraju, who was nearby, allegedly began making disparaging remarks about women, prompting Renuka to confront him.
