**Railway Recruitment Board to Release NTPC Admit Cards June 1st, Exam to be Held June 5-24**
**New Delhi, [Current Date]** – The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced that admit cards for the Stage 1 Computer-Based Test (CBT 1) of the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment 2025 will be available for download starting June 1, 2025. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website, rrbapply.gov.in, or the respective websites of regional RRBs.
The CBT 1 exam is scheduled to take place from June 5 to June 24, 2025, in multiple shifts at various exam centers nationwide. Registered candidates will also be able to download travel authority passes (where applicable) from the regional RRB websites.
This year’s NTPC recruitment aims to fill 11,558 vacancies, including 8,113 graduate-level posts and 3,445 undergraduate-level posts. A staggering 1.21 crore candidates have applied for the RRB NTPC 2025 exam, underscoring the highly competitive nature of this recruitment drive. The examination schedule for undergraduate-level posts will be announced separately at a later date. Undergraduate positions include roles such as Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Train Clerk, and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk.
The CBT 1 will be conducted in a computer-based format and will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark, to be completed in 90 minutes. A negative marking of one-third will be applied for each incorrect answer. PwBD candidates eligible for a scribe will receive an additional 30 minutes.
Candidates will receive notifications via SMS and email to their registered mobile numbers and email addresses regarding the e-call letter and upload details. No call letters will be sent by post.
The selection process includes two stages of Computer-Based Tests (CBTs), followed by a Computer-based Aptitude Test (CBAT)/ Typing Skill Test (TST) where applicable.
* **Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT):** This is for candidates applying for Station Master (SM) positions. Candidates must qualify in each test battery of the CBAT, which will be available in English and Hindi only. There will be no negative marking in the CBAT.
* **Typing Skill Test (TST):** This is for Senior Clerk cum Typist and Junior Account Assistant cum Typist positions. Candidates must type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on a personal computer without editing tools or spell check facility.
* **Goods Train Manager, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor:** These positions require two stages of CBTs, followed by document verification and a medical examination.
