**Salman Ali Agha Hails Ayub and Zaman as Match-Winners Ahead of Bangladesh T20I Series**
**LAHORE, PAKISTAN – May 27, 2026** – Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha has expressed confidence in the potential of Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman, describing them as “match-winners on their day” as they prepare for their international comebacks in the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.
Both batsmen have recently returned from injury setbacks. Saim Ayub, who impressed with three ODI centuries and a T20I best of 98* prior to an ankle fracture in late 2024, showed glimpses of form in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), scoring 174 runs for Peshawar Zalmi. Fakhar Zaman, recalled to the national squad after recovering from an oblique injury sustained during the 2025 Champions Trophy, played a crucial role in Lahore Qalandars’ PSL 10 victory, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer with 439 runs.
“They are match-winners on their day,” Agha stated, underlining the importance of their inclusion in the squad.
Agha will lead a squad featuring a mix of experience and emerging talent, including vice-captain Shadab Khan, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, and others. The series provides an opportunity for Pakistan to fine-tune its T20I strategy and for Ayub and Zaman to re-establish themselves as key figures in the national team.
The three T20I matches are scheduled to be played in Lahore from May 28 to June 1.
