**Philadelphia Mourns Man Killed in Hit-and-Run, Family Pleads for Driver to Come Forward**

**PHILADELPHIA, PA** – A North Philadelphia community is reeling after a 32-year-old man, Nafeece Jenkins, was killed in a hit-and-run early Sunday morning. The incident, caught on a Ring camera near 12th Street and Lehigh Avenue, has left his family heartbroken and demanding justice.

According to Philadelphia police, Jenkins was crossing the 1200 block of Lehigh Avenue at approximately 1:45 a.m. when a white Honda struck him with devastating force. Video footage shows the vehicle speeding down the street before the collision, and the impact sent Jenkins flying into another parked car. The driver then sped away from the scene, leaving Jenkins for dead.

“You didn’t have to hit him like a bowling ball and keep going,” said Sharon Carter, Jenkins’s grieving mother. “Nobody deserves that at all.”

Officers later located the heavily damaged vehicle in the 1200 block of Park Avenue.

Jenkins was described by his family as a man with a positive energy that brought people together. “It was hard not to love him,” said Carter. His uncle, Derrick Cave, echoed the sentiment, saying, “To see him get hit like that…”

The tragedy has amplified concerns among residents about reckless driving in the neighborhood. “We not even safe out here no more,” said Dawn Brown, a local resident. “I’m scared to cross the street.”

Jenkins leaves behind a one-year-old son. His family is now pleading with the driver to come forward and take responsibility for their actions. “Whoever it was, just come forward,” urged Cave. “His child deserves this.”

Carter tearfully implored, “Turn yourself in. Give hope. Give closure.”

A vigil will be held tonight at 5:30 p.m. at 58th and Arch streets, where family and friends will gather to remember Nafeece Jenkins and call for justice in his name. Police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information to come forward.
