**Jaipur, India** – The Delhi Capitals (DC), led by Faf du Plessis, won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in today’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

While PBKS have already secured a playoff berth with eight wins from twelve matches and are looking to solidify their position in the top two, DC have been eliminated from contention. However, DC are determined to finish their season with a victory.

“We will have a bowl. I think today it is 50-50. Just the makeup of the side. We are playing an extra batter. It helps while chasing,” Du Plessis stated after winning the toss. Acknowledging the team’s roller coaster season, he added, “We are playing for the fifth spot. We had our goals to get into the top four.”

PBKS, having defeated the Rajasthan Royals in their previous encounter, will aim to maintain their winning momentum. Captain Shreyas Iyer expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance but emphasized the need to stay focused, adding, “Job half done as of now.
