Sat May 24 08:20:00 UTC 2025: **Karnataka KCET 2025 Results Announced: 88.36% Pass Rate**

**Bangalore, May 24, 2025** – The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the results of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025. Out of 3,11,991 students who appeared for the exam, 2,75,677 have qualified for admission to various professional undergraduate courses across the state. The results were declared by Higher Education Minister Dr. MC Sudhakar at the KEA office today.

Students can now access their scores and rank cards on the official websites: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea and karresults.nic.in. Candidates will need their registration number and the first four characters of their name to log in. Due to heavy traffic, some users may experience difficulty accessing the cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea website.

The KCET 2025, held from April 15 to April 17, is a crucial exam for students seeking admission to engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, veterinary sciences, and other related courses. The results announcement concludes a period of anxious anticipation for over 3.3 lakh aspiring students.

**Key Highlights:**

* **Overall Pass Percentage:** 88.36%
* **Top Performers:** Harishraj D V topped in Nursing and Veterinary. Bhavesh Jayanthi topped in engineering and Akshay M Hegde topped in agriculture.

* **Rank List Compilation:** Ranks are based on the best scores from the first two examinations of the Second PUC, supplemented by CBSE and ICSE marks retrieved directly online.

**New Measures for Transparency:**

The KEA implemented several new measures this year to ensure a fair and transparent examination process, including:

* Facial recognition technology for candidate verification.
* CCTV surveillance and live webcasting across all exam centers.
* Increased security protocols with police and Home Guard personnel.
* Public access to over 11.67 lakh OMR answer sheets for verification.

**Controversy:**

The results for Suchivrat Kulkarni, who missed the mathematics paper due to a dispute over his Janivara (sacred thread), were also released. His rank was calculated based on his physics marks and PUC average. After being barred from the math paper, Forest and Ecology Minister Eshwar Khandre stepped in to offer Kulkarni a seat in engineering.

**Next Steps:**

KEA will soon release the official rank list and category-wise cutoff points. The counseling process is expected to begin in June, with qualified candidates required to participate in online registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification. A dedicated call center with increased phone lines and extended hours has been set up to assist students with their inquiries. The KEA also stated it will review the charge sheet on the seat blocking scam.
