**Ahmedabad, May 24, 2025** – A contractual health worker has been arrested in Gujarat, India, for allegedly sharing sensitive information about Indian military installations with a Pakistani intelligence operative. Sahdevsinh Gohil, 28, was apprehended by the Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Saturday, May 24, 2025, after an investigation revealed he had been transmitting data regarding Border Security Force (BSF) and Indian Navy establishments in the Kutch district.
According to the ATS, Gohil was contacted by a Pakistani agent identifying herself as Aditi Bharadwaj in June 2023. She allegedly solicited photographs and videos of the military facilities in exchange for monetary compensation. Superintendent of Police (ATS) Siddharth Korukonda stated that Gohil knowingly shared classified information with the Pakistani spy via WhatsApp.
“After winning his trust, the agent sought photos and videos of BSF and Indian Navy offices and ongoing construction around his village. Gohil shared the requested classified information via WhatsApp,” said SP Korukonda.
The investigation further revealed that Gohil obtained a SIM card in January 2025 using his national identification number (Aadhaar) and provided the one-time password (OTP) to the Pakistani agent, allowing her to use the associated WhatsApp account from Pakistan.
Forensic analysis of Gohil’s phone confirmed that the WhatsApp numbers used for transmitting information were currently active in Pakistan. The ATS also discovered that Gohil had received ₹40,000 in cash from an unidentified individual as payment for his actions.
Gohil and the Pakistani agent now face charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including criminal conspiracy and waging war against the government. The investigation is ongoing.
