**OKLAHOMA CITY -** The Oklahoma City Thunder are heading to the Western Conference Finals after a dominant 125-93 Game 7 victory over the Denver Nuggets. A key factor in the Thunder’s win was the stellar defense of veteran guard Alex Caruso, who effectively disrupted Nuggets star Nikola Jokić.

Caruso, despite being undersized against the reigning MVP, hounded Jokić relentlessly, denying him easy touches and forcing turnovers. He finished the game with 11 points, three assists, and three steals, but his impact went far beyond the stat sheet. The Thunder forced 23 turnovers, converting them into 37 points.

Coach Mark Daigneault praised Caruso’s impact, emphasizing the importance of team defense in containing Jokić. “If you’re putting a 6-5 guard on a player like that, you need relentless help and pressure on the entry passes, and it all works together,” Daigneault said.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also lauded Caruso’s ability to elevate his game in crucial moments, noting his knack for understanding and controlling the game.

The Thunder now face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals.
