Fri May 23 14:12:20 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Excise Task Force Busts Drug Ring, Seizes Over 4.6 KG of Ganja

**Hyderabad, May 23, 2025** – The State Task Force (STF) of the Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department made significant strides in combating drug trafficking on Friday, arresting seven individuals and seizing 4.64 kilograms of ganja in four separate operations across the state.

The raids, conducted across Hyderabad, targeted various locations including IDA Bollaram, Ameerpet, Charminar, and Quthbullapur.

In IDA Bollaram, Raghavendra and Roshan Kumar were apprehended after officials seized 1.14 kilograms of ganja, a two-wheeler, and a mobile phone used in their illegal trade. Authorities are actively searching for two additional suspects, Nandu and Ajay, who remain at large.

Another operation in Ameerpet led to the arrest of Kushmi Srinath and Vadapalli Karthik at a motor servicing center where 1.1 kilogram of ganja was seized. The pair has been handed over to the Ameerpet Excise Station.

In Charminar, Salim bin Nazir and Balman Mohammed Akbar Khan were arrested with 1.3 kilogram of ganja. Their accomplice, Rahim Khan, is currently on the run and a case has been registered against him.

The fourth arrest occurred in Quthbullapur, where Vadagateja was found in possession of 1.1 kg of ganja.

These arrests represent a significant blow to drug trafficking operations in Telangana. The Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department emphasizes its commitment to aggressively pursuing and dismantling drug networks within the state.
