Thu May 22 23:30:00 UTC 2025: **Hilaria Baldwin and Amy Schumer Trade Barbs Amid Book Release**
Hilaria Baldwin’s new book, “Manual Not Included,” has seemingly reignited a feud with comedian Amy Schumer. In her book, Baldwin appears to address Schumer’s past jokes at her expense without explicitly naming her, stating a “famous person” had said “nasty and untrue things” about her family. She added that she doesn’t want an apology and, No matter what, I hope I never meet her.
The apparent call-out comes after Schumer previously poked fun at Baldwin in her 2023 Netflix special, “Emergency Contact,” referencing the controversy surrounding Baldwin’s Spanish heritage and the size of her family with husband Alec Baldwin. Schumer also posted and deleted some of Hilaria’s family photos on her Instagram page in December 2020, later apologizing.
Schumer has yet to directly respond to the book’s contents. However, in what many are interpreting as a pointed jab, Schumer was recently photographed in New York City recreating Baldwin’s viral sidewalk photos, in which Baldwin was seen prominently displaying her book. Schumer was photographed carrying “The Anxious Generation,” a book by Jonathan Haidt, while heading to speaking engagements in the city. Notably, both Baldwin’s and Schumer’s photos were taken by the same photographer.
Baldwin, seemingly unfazed by the attention, has been playfully acknowledging the initial sidewalk photos, even posting on Instagram, “Don’t be a hater, buy my book,” and creating a humorous video explaining the circumstances surrounding the images. In the video, she says she wasn’t trying to hold the book in a particular way so that you guys could see the cover. This was not about my book.
