**UAE Reaffirms Strong Support for India in Global Fight Against Terrorism**

**Abu Dhabi, UAE – May 22, 2025** – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reiterated its unwavering commitment to supporting India in the global fight against terrorism, describing terrorism as a universal threat that demands a united international response. The declaration came during a meeting between an all-party Indian parliamentary delegation and senior UAE officials in Abu Dhabi.

Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior & Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, emphasized the UAE’s firm stance, stating, “Terrorism is a threat not just to a single nation or region, but it is a global threat. We believe that we, as an international community, should come together… to work on putting plans and strategies and engage in creating a better future for all humanity.”

The Indian delegation, led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, is one of seven teams dispatched to 33 global capitals to rally international support for India’s position on terrorism and address concerns regarding Pakistan’s alleged involvement in terrorist activities.

“We are already cooperating with India on efforts to fight terrorism. The security of Indian nationals is non-negotiable. India is a strategic partner, not just with the government but also its people,” Al Nuaimi added, highlighting the deep-rooted strategic partnership between the two nations.

Shinde described the discussions as “very fruitful,” emphasizing the UAE’s clear message of solidarity. “The UAE is standing shoulder to shoulder with full commitment with India against terrorism,” he stated, adding that the UAE condemned recent attacks on India and sees terrorism as an attack on all of humanity.

The delegation included MPs from various parties, including BJP members Bansuri Swaraj, Manan Kumar Mishra, Atul Garg, and S S Ahluwalia, as well as Sasmit Patra (BJD) and E T Mohammed Basheer (IUML), former diplomat Sujan R Chinoy, and India’s ambassador to the UAE Sunjay Sudhir.

The meeting took place against the backdrop of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack, which resulted in numerous casualties. India subsequently conducted strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, leading to retaliatory attempts by Pakistan. Hostilities ceased after talks between the directors general of military operations from both sides.
