Wed May 21 20:30:00 UTC 2025: **Brewers Shut Down Orioles, Extend Losing Streak to Eight**
**MILWAUKEE** – The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Baltimore Orioles 5-2 Tuesday night, extending Baltimore’s losing streak to eight games. A strong pitching performance from rookie Logan Henderson, combined with timely home runs from Brice Turang, Sal Frelick, and Rhys Hoskins, propelled the Brewers to their third consecutive victory.
Henderson (3-0) dominated on the mound, striking out seven batters over five shutout innings. The 23-year-old right-hander has now won each of his first three career starts, becoming the first Brewer to accomplish the feat. He has racked up 23 strikeouts in 16 innings, allowing only three runs.
The Brewers jumped out to an early lead with Turang’s solo home run in the third inning, followed by Frelick’s two-run blast in the fourth. Baltimore cut the deficit to one run in the seventh with RBI hits from Ramón Urías and Jackson Holliday. However, Hoskins responded in the eighth with a leadoff homer of his own, and the Brewers added another run thanks to two Orioles errors. Abner Uribe closed out the game, striking out the side in the ninth for his first save of the season.
The Orioles have struggled under interim manager Tony Mansolino, who took over after the firing of Brandon Hyde on Saturday. The team is now 0-4 with Mansolino at the helm.
Milwaukee’s victory was aided by Jackson Chourio remaining in the game after crashing into the wall while trying to catch Holliday’s triple in the seventh.
The series concludes Wednesday afternoon with Tomoyuki Sugano pitching for Baltimore against Chad Patrick for Milwaukee.
