**Thanjavur, May 21, 2025:** Vattathikottai police have seized raw materials used in the illegal manufacture of country-made bombs in Neyveli Vadapathi hamlet, Thanjavur district, leading to the arrest of one individual.
The operation followed a recent explosion at an unlicensed bomb-making unit in the Neyveli Thenpathi area, which resulted in the deaths of two people. A Revenue Department team, conducting searches in the wake of the incident, discovered a plastic container containing bomb-making materials hidden within a teak wood grove in Neyveli Vadapathi.
Police were immediately notified and seized the materials. After investigation, Myniyaiah, a resident of Nadutheru in Neyveli Vadapathi hamlet, was arrested in connection with the seizure. Authorities are continuing to investigate the extent of the illegal bomb-making operation and potential involvement of other individuals.
