**PUDUCHERRY, May 21, 2025** – Chief Minister N. Rangasamy led the observance of ‘Anti-Terrorism Day’ in Puducherry today, marking the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. A solemn ceremony was held at Rajiv Gandhi Square, Thattanchavady, where the Chief Minister and other dignitaries garlanded a statue of the late leader.
Government officials, including Minister for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare A.K. Sai J. Saravanan Kumar, Deputy Speaker P. Rajavelu, Government Whip AKD Aroumougame, MLA R. Bhaskar, and DGP Shalini Singh, participated in the event. Attendees took a pledge against terrorism. Patriotic songs were performed by teachers from Jawahar Children’s Home, and interfaith prayers were recited.
At the Chief Secretariat, Development Commissioner Ashish Madhaorao More administered the anti-terrorism pledge to government secretaries, officers, and employees. Law Secretary L.S. Sathyamoorthy read the Tamil version of the pledge.
