Tue May 20 05:50:00 UTC 2025: ## North Texas Sees Relief After Tornado Watches, Pleasant Week Ahead

**DALLAS, TX -** North Texas residents can breathe a sigh of relief as Tornado Watches expired Monday night with storms moving out of the region. The FOX 4 Weather Team forecasts a welcome change in weather for the week ahead, with Tuesday shaping up to be the “PICK DAY” of the week.

Sunny skies and northwest winds will bring drier air, creating pleasant conditions with temperatures near the May normal in the mid-80s.

While a comfortable night is expected, temperatures will rise again on Wednesday, pushing well into the 80s and potentially reaching the low 90s as winds shift back to the south. The high temperatures will be dry.

The next chance for showers and storms arrives on Thursday as a cold front pushes south. While some storms may bring small hail and gusty winds, widespread severe weather is not anticipated.

The front is expected to stall and lift north again on Friday, ushering in partly sunny skies and very warm, humid air carried by southeast winds.

Looking ahead to Memorial Day weekend, the forecast suggests typical late May conditions: very warm and humid. There is a low risk of storms on Saturday, with an increased chance of storms Sunday and Sunday evening as a disturbance approaches from the west. Specific details and timing remain uncertain, as does the forecast for Memorial Day itself.

Stay tuned to FOX 4 for the latest weather updates throughout the week.
