**Hyderabad, May 19, 2025** – The Telangana government today launched the “Indira Soura Giri Jala Vikasam” (Indira Solar Tribal Development Scheme), a landmark initiative aimed at transforming the lives of tribal communities across the state. The ₹12,600 crore scheme was unveiled at Macharam village in Mahabubnagar by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who hailed it as a “golden moment in India’s history.”
The scheme focuses on empowering tribal farmers through solar farming, avocado cultivation, and intercropping support. It aims to strictly implement the Nallamala Declaration, promising tangible results within four years.
“This scheme reflects the spirit of Chief Minister Reddy’s ‘diamond-like heart’ and will turn long-cherished slogans like ‘Jal, Jungle, Zameen’ into reality,” stated Deputy Chief Minister Vikramarka. He emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the Congress remains in power for the next 20 years to fully realize the scheme’s potential.
Under the scheme, Scheduled Tribe farmers holding Rights over Forest Resources (RoFR) lands will receive 100% grant on a saturation basis for drip irrigation and horticulture plantations.
