**CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa –** Alan Wayne Jossie, 67, of Marengo, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A dedicated family man and retired Amana Refrigeration employee, Jossie is remembered for his humor, helpful nature, and love for his Ford truck and drag racing.
Born on September 18, 1957, in Cedar Rapids to Stanford and Joan (Rosendahl) Jossie, he graduated from Kennedy High School in 1976 and worked at Amana Refrigeration for 40 years before retiring.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Presbyterian Church in Coggon, followed by interment at Coggon Cemetery.
Jossie is survived by his children: Gia (Troy) Holten, Jeremy (Colleen) Jossie, Stephan Jossie, and Sara Jossie; grandchildren Carson, Gage, Luke, and Ella; and siblings Mike (Liz) Jossie, Laura (Kevin) Vaske, and Lisa (Randy) Heller. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Robert.
