**Los Angeles, CA -** “Saturday Night Live” star Marcello Hernandez is trading the Studio 8H stage for a chaotic bachelor party as he lands a significant supporting role in Kevin Hart’s upcoming Netflix film, “72 Hours.” Hernandez, known for his hilarious “Weekend Update” appearances and viral sketches, will play the best man and bachelor party captain in the comedy.
The film centers around Hart, who plays a 40-something executive attempting to revive his career by joining a group of twenty-somethings on a wild bachelor party weekend after accidentally being added to their group text.
This marks Hernandez’s first major feature film role, adding to his growing portfolio after recently joining the voice cast of Paramount’s “Angry Birds” sequel.
“72 Hours” will be directed by Tim Story, marking his fifth collaboration with Hart. Their previous projects, including “Think Like a Man” and the “Ride Along” series, have garnered a collective $445 million globally. The script is penned by Matt Mider, Kevin Burrows, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg.
Production details, including other cast members playing the groomsmen, are yet to be released.
