**Tiruchi, Tamil Nadu – May 18, 2025** – Minister for Municipal Administration K.N. Nehru today inaugurated a series of public infrastructure projects in Tiruchi, amounting to ₹2.04 crore. The projects, funded through various sources including Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) funds, General Funds, and Education Funds, are aimed at improving the quality of life for residents in the region.
The newly inaugurated facilities include:
* A bus shelter at Aravanur Mela Pandamangalam
* Community toilets at Keerakollai Street and Cholarajapuram
* Drinking water facilities in Vandikara Street, South Vella Street, Puthur North Muthuraja Street, Ramalinga Nagar II Main Road, South Ramalinga Nagar, and Puthur Agraharam

The project is slated for completion by November 2026.
Phase II will cover a 2.15-km stretch along the Koraiyar River, extending from Woraiyur to the Kudamurutti bridge. The two-lane road will be 10 meters wide and include a 1.19-km elevated highway with an overbridge spanning the railway track. The project also includes the construction of an 840-meter retaining wall and an 870-meter storm-water drain with an accompanying walking track.
