The **Sevur Groundnut**, cultivated in the semi-arid region around Sevur village in Tiruppur district, is known for its unique flavour profile resulting from the area’s specific soil composition. The **Kalakadu Banana**, grown in the coastal region of Kalakad in Tirunelveli, benefits from a humid climate and fertile alluvial soils, producing fruits prized for their distinct characteristics in both local and international markets.

The application for **Kallidaikurichi Appalam** seeks to protect the traditional craftsmanship of this papad, made with locally sourced black gram and the unique waters of the Tamirabarani River.
