**New Delhi:** Residents of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) experienced a welcome change in weather as rain accompanied by strong winds swept through the region, providing much-needed relief from the oppressive heat.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for the next 15 hours, forecasting partly cloudy skies and continued strong winds, with speeds ranging from 20-30 kmph and potentially gusting up to 40 kmph.
The IMD predicts a significant weather shift on May 16th, with the possibility of more rain and strong winds. For May 14th and 15th, partly cloudy conditions and strong winds (15-25 kmph, potentially gusting to 35 kmph) are expected. The maximum temperature during these days is likely to hover between 40-42 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will range from 27-29 degrees Celsius.
The weather pattern is expected to be similar across Delhi-NCR. While the week will generally remain warm, sudden bursts of storms and rain are anticipated. The IMD forecasts partly cloudy skies, light rain, and strong winds (30-40 kmph, gusting to 50 kmph) for Delhi on May 16th. This will provide some respite from the heat, but a significant drop in temperature is not expected.
The maximum temperature on May 16th is predicted to be between 40-42 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature between 28-30 degrees Celsius. For May 17th, partly cloudy skies are expected, with the maximum temperature ranging from 39-41 degrees Celsius and the minimum from 27-29 degrees Celsius. Similar conditions are forecasted for May 18th and 19th, with partly cloudy skies and maximum temperatures between 39-41 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures between 26-28 degrees Celsius.
