**Hyderabad, May 13, 2025** – Parts of Hyderabad experienced much-needed relief from the recent heatwave Monday evening as unexpected showers swept through the city. While the rain provided respite for many, it also caught some commuters off guard during their evening commute. Areas like Mossapet saw the heaviest rainfall (30 mm), with significant downpours also reported in Hydernagar, Kukatpally, and other neighborhoods.

However, the respite may be short-lived. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm warning for 28 districts across Telangana for Tuesday. The alert predicts thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in isolated locations. Affected districts include Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, and many others (see full list in original article).

For Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, the IMD forecasts generally cloudy skies for the next 48 hours with a chance of light to moderate rain or thundershowers and gusty winds. Hazy conditions are expected in the mornings. Temperatures are predicted to peak around 36°C and dip to 27°C.
