**Hyderabad, May 13, 2025** – A 48-year-old private employee in Hyderabad lost ₹1.8 lakh to a credit card scam, police reported today. The victim was contacted by a fraudster posing as an SBI Credit Card official who, during a video call, tricked him into revealing his credit card details, including the CVV. Although the victim did not share any OTPs, the scammer managed to debit his account, exceeding his credit limit of ₹50,000. The victim has filed an online complaint, and police are investigating the incident, suspecting the misuse of card details for over-limit transactions.
