**Hyderabad/Amaravati:** A mix of scorching heat and impending rain continues to characterize the weather in both Telugu states. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued another alert, predicting rainfall for the next four days across both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Telangana is expected to experience thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds along with the rain. An yellow alert has been issued for all districts except North Telangana for Friday. Heavy rainfall is predicted in several districts, with moderate to light showers anticipated across 33 districts over the next three days. Specific districts predicted to receive rainfall include Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Nagarkurnool, and Jogulamba Gadwal. The IMD warns of a high chance of lightning strikes in several areas.
Andhra Pradesh, meanwhile, experienced record-high temperatures on Friday. The IMD forecasts light to moderate rain from May 12th, with wind speeds reaching 30-40 kmph, and potentially up to 50 kmph in gusts. Light to moderate rain is predicted for parts of Alluri district on Saturday, while other districts may see scattered light showers and thunderstorms.
