**Haryana Board Class 12 Results Announced: Girls Outperform Boys, Website Overwhelmed**
Bhiwani, Haryana – May 13, 2025 – The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) today announced the Class 12 examination results, revealing an overall pass percentage of 85.66% for regular students. Girls once again outperformed boys, achieving a pass rate of 89.41%, a significant 7.55% higher than their male counterparts.
Arpandeep Singh from Government Senior Secondary School, Seon Majra in Kaithal, emerged as the top student.
Commerce students led the academic streams with a 92.20% pass rate, followed by Arts at 85.31% and Science at 83.05%. Over 1.66 lakh students passed out of the 1,93,828 regular candidates who appeared for the exams. The pass percentage for Senior Secondary Open School (Fresh) examinations was 36.35%.
“The Board’s chairman, Dr. Pawan Sharma, confirmed that the Class 12 results will be released on May 13 at 10 AM.”
Shortly after the results were declared at a press conference in Bhiwani, the official website, bseh.org.in, experienced heavy traffic, rendering it temporarily inaccessible. The board has advised students to utilize an SMS-based service by sending ‘RESULTHB12 ’ to 56263 to receive their results.
District-wise, Jind recorded the highest pass percentage, while Nuh had the lowest. Rural students marginally outperformed their urban counterparts.
Notably, the HBSE will not be publishing a toppers list this year.
“This policy aims to reduce unhealthy academic pressure and encourage balanced, holistic learning among students across the state.”, said the Board members.
Students who are dissatisfied with their scores can apply for re-evaluation in June. Compartment exams for those who failed in one or two subjects are also scheduled for June, with results expected in September.
The re-evaluation follows a re-examination of the English paper after a paper leak. The board claims to have completed the evaluation process quickly despite that re-test.
Original marksheets will be distributed through schools in July.
