Mon May 12 13:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Rich Eisen’s Show Moves to ESPN, NFL Unveils Kickoff Game, and NBA Alt-Cast Announced
**NEW YORK, NY** – Sports media is buzzing with several major announcements. Veteran broadcaster Rich Eisen is returning to ESPN, bringing his popular show, “The Rich Eisen Show,” to the network’s streaming platforms, ESPN+ and Disney+, this fall. The show will not air on ESPN’s linear channels. Eisen previously worked for ESPN before joining NFL Network in 2003.
The NFL announced its season kickoff game: a highly anticipated matchup between the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys on September 4th. This marks only the Cowboys’ third appearance in the kickoff game. NBC also revealed that Peacock will exclusively stream a Week 17 game on December 27th.
ESPN is adding to its NBA coverage with an alternate broadcast of the Western Conference Finals. The broadcast will feature play-by-play commentator Ryan Ruocco and analysts Tim Legler and Kirk Goldsberry.
Finally, Fox Corporation announced its new streaming service will be called “Fox One,” joining other streaming services that use a numbered suffix. This contrasts with ESPN’s reported plan to simply name its new flagship service “ESPN.”
