**Belagavi, Karnataka – May 12, 2025** – Mehboobsaab B. Badbade, a retired KAS officer and former Special Deputy Commissioner of Karnataka, passed away on Sunday night at the age of 85. Mr. Badbade dedicated his post-retirement life to social service, founding the Consortium of Minorities Association, an NGO that provided educational opportunities, including schools, colleges, and language certificate programs in Urdu, Arabic, and Persian. The NGO also offered vocational training to women and competitive exam preparation courses for youth. Mr. Badbade was a guest speaker at a *The Hindu* career guidance session in 2018. District in-charge Minister Satish Jarkiholi and other leaders have expressed their condolences.
