**Raipur, Chhattisgarh – May 12, 2025** – A tragic road accident in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, has claimed the lives of thirteen people, all women and children. Eleven others were injured in the collision between a truck and a trailer late Sunday night.

The victims, a family from Chataud village, were returning from a family function in Bansari village when their truck collided with a trailer near Saragaon on the Raipur-Balodabazar road. Four children and nine women perished in the accident.

Emergency responders transported the injured to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital in Raipur. Raipur District Collector Gaurav Singh confirmed the death toll and the number of injured, stating that district administration officials were on the scene.
