**Chennai, May 10, 2025** – Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma. Subramanian today launched a comprehensive health awareness program in Chennai, aimed at educating students on disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles. The initiative, which began at the Chennai Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School in Saidapet, will be rolled out to 1,256 schools across the city.
Minister Subramanian also inspected the diagnostic and laboratory facilities at the State Public Health Laboratory in Teynampet Zone. Officials from the Greater Chennai Corporation and the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine were in attendance. The program signifies a significant step by the Tamil Nadu government to promote public health education among young people.
