Sat May 10 10:10:00 UTC 2025: ## India Launches Airstrikes on Pakistani Air Bases in Retaliation

**NEW DELHI** – The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted precision airstrikes early this morning targeting multiple Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases in retaliation for recent cross-border drone and missile attacks on Indian civilian areas and military infrastructure. The strikes, confirmed by Wing Commander Vyomika Singh in a government briefing, focused on key military installations, minimizing collateral damage.

Targets included the PAF bases at Rafiqui, Murid, and Chaklala (Nur Khan air base), along with Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunian. Radar sites at Pasrur and Sialkot aviation base were also hit using precision-guided munitions. The IAF stated that the objective was to cripple Pakistan’s ability to launch further aerial attacks using drones and fighter jets.

The Nur Khan air base, a crucial hub for Pakistan’s air mobility and the headquarters of its Air Mobility Command, was reportedly instrumental in coordinating the recent cross-border attacks. Rafiqui, home to advanced fighter squadrons, and Murid, the center of Pakistan’s drone operations, were also key targets aimed at disrupting Pakistan’s offensive capabilities.

Wing Commander Singh emphasized that the Indian armed forces remain prepared for any further hostile actions but are committed to de-escalation, provided Pakistan reciprocates. The strikes come in response to a series of drone and missile attacks from Pakistan following India’s Operation Sindoor, precision airstrikes conducted against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. Operation Sindoor was launched to avenge recent attacks in Pahalgam that resulted in 26 civilian deaths.
