Thu May 08 06:59:09 UTC 2025: ## Indian Band Last Minute India Releases Heartfelt Song About Addiction

**HYDERABAD, INDIA (May 8, 2025)** – Last Minute India, an independent Indian band, has released a new song, “Main Sach Kahun,” that tackles the raw and emotional realities of alcohol addiction. The song is a deeply personal reflection by songwriter and composer Subodh Gupta, the band’s founder and bassist, on his own struggles and journey to recovery.

Gupta, formerly a data scientist at Microsoft, used his musical talents to express the isolation, regret, and ultimate courage he found in confronting his addiction. He describes the song as a truthful portrayal of his experiences, highlighting the universality of such struggles. The song’s creation was spurred by a fight with his partner, leading him to write and compose the music initially as an email apology.

The band, formed during Gupta’s engineering days with Bhumit Gor (rhythm guitarist) and Austin Furtado (lead guitarist), has achieved significant success, winning 68 out of 100 college competitions in just seven months. Now with Abdul Shaikh (vocalist) and Samaksh Namdev (drums) completing the lineup, the band has garnered recognition from Spotify India and performs regularly across the country.

Gupta, who now works as a freelancer for Netflix, emphasizes the band’s commitment to creating original music that reflects real emotions and lived experiences. He credits his mother’s encouragement to remain authentic as a key influence. With nearly 50 shows scheduled for the year, Last Minute India aims to continue connecting with audiences through their honest and heartfelt music.
