**Pittsburgh, PA** – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for several western Pennsylvania counties until 9 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service. The affected areas include, but are not limited to, Allegheny, Beaver, Mercer, Venango, Lawrence, Greene, and Washington counties.
Residents should be prepared for potentially damaging winds up to 60 miles per hour and hail the size of quarters. The National Weather Service urges residents in the affected areas to monitor weather conditions closely and take necessary precautions.
