According to her mother, Thays Brandão, Millena began experiencing severe headaches, leg pain, drowsiness, and loss of appetite on April 24th. Initially diagnosed with dengue fever without any testing by a doctor who prescribed only dipyrone, her condition rapidly worsened. Millena’s pain intensified to the point where she could no longer walk. After fainting at home and experiencing a subsequent cardiac arrest at the hospital, a CT scan revealed a 5-centimeter mass in her brain. Over the following days, Millena suffered multiple cardiac and respiratory arrests. Ultimately, doctors declared her brain dead. Her parents made the heartbreaking decision to discontinue life support.
