**HYDERABAD, May 6, 2025** – The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) conducted a major anti-encroachment drive in Gachibowli today, demolishing numerous unauthorized structures in the Fertilizers Corporation of India Employees Cooperative Housing Society layout near Sandhya Convention.
The operation targeted illegal constructions built on land designated for roads and parks, obstructing access to existing plots. Demolished structures included mini-halls, kitchens, restrooms, makeshift tin fencing, and three iron sheds spanning ground plus two floors. The action follows numerous citizen complaints regarding these encroachments. This is the latest in a series of anti-encroachment operations by HYDRAA, which recently cleared encroachments in two lakes and reclaimed 10 acres of land.
