Tue May 06 14:50:00 UTC 2025: **CBSE Board Exam Results 2025: No Official Date Yet, New Grievance Process Announced**
NEW DELHI – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 10 and 12 board exam results this week, but an official date and time remain unannounced. The board has warned against circulating misinformation after a fake announcement letter surfaced online.
While the results are anticipated soon—with last year’s results released on May 13th—students are advised to check the official CBSE websites (cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in) for updates.
In a significant change to the post-result grievance process, CBSE has implemented a new system for students seeking verification or re-evaluation. Students must now first request a photocopy of their evaluated answer book before applying for mark verification or re-evaluation. This revised procedure aims to enhance transparency.
The passing criteria remain unchanged: Class 10 students need 33% overall (theory and internal assessment combined), while Class 12 students require 33% in both theory and practical papers separately. Grace marks may be awarded in cases of near misses.
CBSE has stressed that only information released through official channels should be considered valid and urged students and parents to disregard unverified online information. Further details on the results and grievance process are available at education.indianexpress.com.
