**Hyderabad, May 5, 2025** – A portion of a false ceiling collapsed at Cherlapalli railway station in South Central Railway (SCR) on Saturday due to strong winds and heavy rain. South Central Railway General Manager Arun Kumar Jain inspected the damage on Sunday and ordered the immediate removal of the remaining false ceiling to ensure passenger safety.
According to a press release, railway officials responded swiftly to the incident, cordoning off the area and clearing debris. Passengers were safely rerouted through alternate entrances. Mr. Jain has also ordered a full investigation into the incident and promised corrective action and disciplinary measures against those responsible.
