**ERODE, INDIA (May 5, 2025)** – Police have pledged to arrest the suspects responsible for the murder of an elderly couple near Sivagiri in Erode district within 30 days. Deputy Inspector-General of Police V. Sasi Mohan announced on Sunday that 12 special teams, comprising over 300 personnel, are actively investigating the case. The investigation includes a door-to-door survey of elderly residents in rural areas, analysis of CCTV footage within a 60km radius, examination of call detail records, and profiling of known offenders. Increased vehicle checks and patrols are also underway. Authorities are urging senior citizens in remote areas to install surveillance cameras for added security.
